What kind of Sewing Machine do you use?

Postby pal635 on Wed Feb 18, 2009 12:55 am

I saw on your show that you use a Singer...and it runs great with denium and leather...so what model do you use? I want to buy an industrial strength one because I don't think my normal one can take all the projects with heavy fabrics, etc..
Thanks

I am not quite sure what model # it is, but I did run across an industrial Singer sewing machine online. It is the "Singer Heavy Duty Professional Sewing Machine". It runs for about $300 and looks vintage. I can't recall if Michele has used this particular machine on a show or not. She has way to any cool things. I am quite jealous!!!

The sewing machine that I use is the Singer HD-110 Heavy Duty. I've had it for several years and it has been a fabulous machine. It's a heavier machine with metal parts versus plastic and I've really put it to the test with the materials that I sew with it. (using the right needles also makes a difference)
I recently saw that urban outfitters had it available (I attached the link below)...you can also search other outlets and maybe do some price comparisons.

Hope this helps. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm for our show....sharing ideas is what it's all about!

Cheers to a very creative day, my friend!
