Twig Ladder

Postby How-To-Junky on Wed Sep 26, 2007 9:31 am

How do you exactly start to build a twig ladder? What kind of woods do you use, and does it need to be reinforced with stronger wood? I am picturing rope like vines wrapped around twigs, if not bradded together. Help me visualize your idea.

Twig Ladder

Postby How-To-Junky on Mon Oct 01, 2007 10:32 am

I think it would be fun to make a ladder out of twigs and metal. Lets say using galvanized pipe and similar elements. Does anyone have any ideas on how to further enhance a ladder made of twigs?

Kiva Ladder

Postby halfpint on Thu Nov 29, 2007 12:45 pm

Hello,

I made a Kiva Ladder for my living room, (I have a Southwest theme.)from which I hang Native American blankets. It was very easy, this is what I did. While visiting my Dad in Utah, I found some beautiful birch branches which I took the bark off of, then I used smaller branches
for the steps on the lader. I used wood screws to connect all componants, and hid them with leather straps. You could actually climb this ladder if you were feeling brave, I very happy with the way it turned out!
