Is wire working considered metal?

Hope this is in the right spot, if not please feel free to move it to a proper location.
I make wire sculpted jewelry using sterling and gold filled wires. I also love copper wire. I don't just make wire sculpted jewelry, but if wire can be incorporated into a project, I use it. Love it.

Also love old silverware crafting.
Loved your show Michele on the fork bracelet and other goodies from silverware.
Now about silverware, I'm still debating about a torch to heat it with, so have been trying the hard way using a vise and pliers. Drilling is not a problem, thanks to my drill press. Cutting a bit of a problem, but will get a cut-off wheel for my dremel, and see if it's easier than the hack saw. So far, I've made earrings and pendants from the ends of spoons and forks, but really want to try the knife handle vase. First gotta learn how to solder. YIKES!
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow a mystery. Today is a Gift.

Soldering is very simple! Just remember to put flux on the item before soldering. When you get the hang of it, you can create some awesome things! Good luck!! :D
