floor lamp made from old fluorescents light tubes

Postby SherryM on Tue May 20, 2008 12:35 pm

Hi,
I was looking for the instructions for a project you made on the show on the DIY network site but can't seem to find them there. The project was a floor lamp made out of eight burned out fluorescent light tubes. I would like instructions for that project and I was wondering how I can modify it to use the shorter light tubes that I have from a compact light garden cart.
Thanks

Light Bulb Problem

Postby How-To-Junky on Wed May 21, 2008 10:38 am

Sherry,
I found directions to the project online...
http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/cr_lamps_ ... 80,00.html
I simply typed in Michele Beschen Fluorescent Light Bulbs in a google search to find it. (for future references...this is how I find everything.)

As far as making it smaller for other uses. I would simply study the dimensions that Michele has mentioned and reduce it according to what ever size fluorescent bulbs you can find for your given purpose. Make sense. I am rambling, I Know!!! Hope this helps.
