Big Thanks: B.Original Episode on Plexiglass

Okay - I don't normally post stuff, but I have not figured out how to send an e-mail message because it wasn't accepting my address. But perhaps others should know the impact that the show has had!
I want to send you a blessed thank you for your inspiring ideas. My daughter (8 years old at the time) and I enjoy watching your show for new ideas which help to open our minds and explore. You were her inspiration for a piece that she completed in late 2006 for a Girl Scout recycle art contest. We learned early in 2007 that she was one of 12 winners! My daughter has published art at the age of 8! I'm so proud. Her art can now be seen in the Girl Scout 2008 Calendar in the month of April. They added the frame digitally or otherwise to her art. I have not seen the calendar yet, but I was told it had a frame. When completing the entry application, if my memory serves me, she mentioned her inspiration came from watching your show, B. Original!
Another piece of her art from school, an abstract painted piece, was one of a handful selected from her school to be on display at our State Fair this past September. I believe her confidence in her abilities is beginning to flourish.
My daughter is an avid lover of art in all forms and is in need of opportunities to open her mind and explore her horizons. As much as I'd love to enroll her in every art class out there, we just can't. I can tell she has a passion for art and (right now) she would like to use her skills to pursue fashion design in her adult years. She may change her mind, but art will always be a part of her future.
She is a child that has had self esteem issues, but in this last year, since she has been rewarded for her hard work and passion for art, I am beginning to see a more confident girl / student. This has boosted her belief in herself, for which I am so grateful. Thank you for sharing such bold and creative ideas and encouraging your viewers to add their own personal touches. You have given stepping stones from which people can build upon. You have been a great inspiration and will always be fondly remembered for the ideas you have fostered in myself, but most importantly, my daughter.
Peace,
Diana

Well, if there's anything that makes this job rewarding, it's messages such as yours! THAT is what it's all about! We'd love to see your daughter's work, so we can share it with everyone, as well! Tell her to stay with it and always be true to who she is and what she wants to do. Please shoot me an e-mail with your mailing address and your daughter's name so I can pop a little something special in the mail to her!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share that. I, and everyone I work with on all of this truly appreciate it. Cheers!

michele.

Episode on Plexiglass

Postby Shoelynn on Fri Oct 19, 2007 12:31 pm

I have to send my thanks too. Especially the plexiglass episode. Watching Michele work with the Plexiglass inspired me with one of my own original ideas, that proved so cool that I am using it now in my wedding decor business, and people love it! Thanks! :D
